New Game Recommendations

I am so far behind the times when it comes to PC games. I still play Half-Life 2 and Portal as well as Morrowind and Oblivion and I'm content with them, but I want to try something new... don't make me go back to WoW...

Give me some recommendations.

Borderlands... isn't that the cell rendered shooter?

WoW... I miss it, but I never played that much to really get involved

Yes. There is a co-op campaign mode too. I played with Sgt.Slobber this past weekend. It was great.

Re: New Game Recommendations

I never really got into wow until this last time around with my wife. They added a new feature called the Instances Finder. You can join a queue of people from you battle group for any instance within your level, or a random one. The random ones come with extra stuff, lvl 15-69 you get a bag with a blue item in it. 70+ you get marks that you can use to buy stuff from special vendors, much like honor. With out that both my wife and i would have probably quit after a month or two like we did last time. They also sped up the leveling, lvl 1-70 takes no time at all. Working full time and playing for 2-3hours a night until 70 we were getting 2-3 levels a day. I say if you're bored, try it out again for a month. If you want, send me your email address assigned to you're wow account and i'll send you a free 10day thingy through wow. If nothing else you can try out the instance finder and see if it makes the game more enjoyable for you.

Re: New Game Recommendations

For me that does not sound like an incentive to go back to WoW. Sounds like all those days I spent working on characters where totally wasted now that it takes no time at all. I do not know about Hatter, but Instances really did not do anything for me except suck up my time to do other things in life. I am glad to be free of MMOs evil life-sucking fun.

HAHA, I understand that. I remember people wanting me to run an instance with them that was about 45 minutes long and it was hard for me to find time to do that.

Well if you're not for the WoW, I really enjoyed prototype. It has some very interesting game mechanics, and was both fun and hard.
