Number 2 and 6
When I first heard about the remake of The Prisoner, I figured, ‘why not, everything is being remade’, I wasn’t pissed, but I wasn’t overjoyed. I was a fan of the 1960’s Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan, but not a big fan, but I thought the show was amazing. Thanks to Angst for introducing it to me.

This remake instead of being filmed in the amazing Village of Portmeirion in Wales, our new #6 finds himself in a vast desert. The story actually plays out in very reminiscent ways to the original. Maybe with the site gags at least… the white ball of doom, the map of the Village, but there are things that I wanted to see that were not involved. At least it looks like he doesn’t want to be there… right?

The Penny-farthing bicycle logo, the black coats with the white trim and the consistent “Be seeing you” are non existent. There was a hint of the coat at the beginning and one or two Be Seeing You’s, but I needed more. I wanted to see the old guy with the top hat gas #6 after his resignation. More importantly, I wanted the residents of the Village to be spies and agents as they were in the original. I am only one episode in, but this what I have concluded so far. I will give it another chance, but so far I am liking V a whole lot more.
I don’t know if this version of the series has the same rewatch-ability, but I suppose only time will tell.
Now I have to wait until December 19th before my Doctor Who: Water on Mars review…

Why do I keep getting Russian spam?
Уметь слушать тишину – значит быть способным услышать бесконечность, как говорил Моцарт, на вашем сайте тишину не послушаешь, но много …
which translates to:
To know how to listen to silence – means to be capable of hearing infinity, as Mozart spoke, silence you will not listen to on your site, but it is much…
Great, thanks! You’re still spam though. Maybe their saying that my lack of posts is music to their ears… In that case… F’ off!
Sorry for the lapse in updates. I’m still busy with work and school and trying to make time for my own projects… like AP and random Arduino projects that have been swimming around my brain.
I’ll be back posting shortly and new podcasts will resume in 2 weeks.

Great Job!
from cnn.com So NASA says it’s a success that they managed to shoot something at the Moon and hit it? $79 Million to claim success on crashing a rocket… to see if there is water… on the Moon. Wasn’t it already discovered that the moon was just a big ball of ash?
But immediate NASA images of the crash produced no sign of the plumes, which were expected to rise six kilometers from the moon’s surface, said John Marmie, LCROSS deputy project manager.
“Everyone was like, ‘What’s happening here?’ ” Marmie said. “But that doesn’t mean we don’t have good data there.”
Marmie sounds like a stoner to me. I hope the next mission will be “What space tastes like”

Sorry gang, the Assimilated Podcast has obviously been on a many week hiatus.
Hawkeye has been busy with working weekends and not returning calls, while I have been busy with school and work during the week (and not returning calls). Pretty much saying that taking an hour out of the week was too much effort. Pretty much everything fell apart after we turned 33, but who knows.
New shows will be up shortly and I will keep all of you guys posted as to when.
So back to me. Welding is a lot harder than I had expected. My teacher, being a perfectionist is so critical on the look as well as the quality. I feel a little sad when he takes a hammer to a weld to test the penetration, but I suppose it is expected. I still need to figure out brazing, flame cutting and rod welding in ten weeks. Wish me luck.
How are you guys doing?
