			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been toying with this crap for the better of 6 months now. It&#8217;s crap, in fact it is actually pretty in theory. The problem is that I can&#8217;t get it to fucking work!</p>
<p>What I&#8217;m talking about is the <a href="http://ladyada.net/make/usbtinyisp/index.html" target="new">USBTinyISP</a> from <a href="http://ladyada.net" target="new">ladyada.net</a>. This is a kit project that allows you to send simple C code from your computer to a microcontroller chip, in my case, the ATTINY45. What I&#8217;m trying to do is to get a few frelling LEDs to flicker randomly like a candle. Only because I want to test it!</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s my problem:</p>
<p>Both my PC and Mac can see the USBTinyISP which means I&#8217;m getting power to the programmer&#8230; then what? I have tried several target boards for the receiving chip to no luck at all. <a href="http://www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/avrtargetboards" target="new">Evilmadscientist.com</a> has an article on target boards, which I have followed and still no success.</p>
<p>Has anyone out there had experience with target boards and/or programmers like the above? Drop me a line would ya!</p>
<p>In the meantime, I&#8217;ll be picking up an <a href="http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardDuemilanove" target="new">Arduino Duemilanove</a>.</p>
